This is a nice medieval tinned bronze signet ring, dating to the 15th century A.D. The bezel is cut with a geometric design, reminiscent of a fleur-de-lys. The ring would have originally been fully tinned, as to appear to be made of solid silver. Such a signet would have been owned and worn by a merchant, used as a personal seal for sealing letters and documents. The ring has survived in excellent condition, still suitable to be worn and used again today.
