King Aethelred II Silver Penny by Godric of London

This is a Saxon silver penny of King Æthelred II, minted at London by the moneyer GODRIC. The reverse is of the last small cross type. It is a nice bold and well-struck example, though has a few peck marks and a tiny piercing from its circulation within Viking held territory.
