This is a nice Scandinavian tin bronze pendant, dating to the 10th - 11th century A.D. The openwork pendant is designed as a fabulous Borre style gripping beast, this type has been attributed as Sigurd fighting the beast. The pendant retains the suspension ring, enabling the amulet to be worn on a cord or chain. A nice wearable historic item, although a little overcleaned in places.
