This is a medieval English silver halfgroat, minted in London between 1351 - 1361 A.D. It is from the Fourth Coinage series of king Edward III. Issued during the Hundred Years War with France.
Obverse: Head of Edward III forward, with EDWAR D G ANGL Z FRANCI around.
Reverse: Long cross with two circles of inscriptions. The inner-circle reads CIVITAS LONDON. The outer circle reads POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE MEV (meaning I HAVE MADE GOD MY HELPER).
