Scandinavian Viking silver ingot bullion bar

This is an ancient Scandinavian Viking silver bullion bar, dating to the 9th - 10th century A.D. These bars were used in the bullion economy, made from melted down coins and silver objects. This bar would weigh in at around 15 Dirhams or 28 Saxon pennies. These bars are usually found in treasure hoards along with coinage or hack silver objects.
