This is a fabulous Iron Age Celtic bronze amulet, dating to the 5th - 3rd century B.C. The large amulet is shaped as a Sun-Ring, complete with an integral suspension loop. It is a great looking example with a deep olive-green patina. It is made from a Potin bronze metal (similar to that used in coinage) so it may have been traded in a barter economy.
