Renaissance/Tudor period silver & coral set finger ring

This is a nice Renaissance silver finger ring, dating to the 16th century. The ring is set with a magical coral gem thought to detect poisons and prevent riders from falling from horses. The body of the ring is deeply sculpted with a geometric design for enamel. 

A nice and original Tudor period finger ring, in excavated but wearable condition!
