This is a late Medieval/Renaissance silver finger ring, dating to the 15th - 16th century A.D. The ring is set with a dark red glass gemstone, within a cusped bezel. Similar rings have been recorded in gold, dated to the late Medieval and Tudor period. This example is intact and excavated.
