This is a large medieval bronze signet ring, dating to the 14th - 15th century. The device is of a Lombardic letter 'T' within a plain border. The shoulders are also decorated with an engraved geometric design (and the ring at one time fully mercurial gold-gilded). A large and wearable ring (that may have once been worn over a glove) presumably the initial letter 'T' would stand for the name of the owner, such as Thomas? The ring is in excavated condition and with traces of the original gilding
