This is an ancient Roman silver Siliqua of emperor Arcadius dating to 392 - 395 A.D.

DN ARCADI-VS PF AVG pearl-diademed draped and cuirassed bust right 

VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Roma seated left with Victory and barbed spear.

This coin was minted at the Trier mint in Germany TRPS. it had traveled to Britain and was a metal detector find in Sussex.
