Baroque portrait miniature of a young gentleman oils on copper

This is a wonderful Baroque period portrait miniature of a young gentleman, dating to the late 17th century. He is painted with oils on copper, housed within a turned ebonized frame. It is secured with an oak panel and retains traces of an old label.
