Roman gold and agate finger ring

This is an ancient Roman gold finger ring, dating to the 2nd - 3rd century AD. The shape of the hoop and box setting suggests that it is probably "Henig type VIII" - 'keeled' type, and can be compared with 2009 T636. Roman, c. 3rd century AD. See also (YORYM-671BA2) and (LVPL-3E45C2) and (HAMP-D393C5) for similar examples. This ring is in excellent condition and retains the original agate gem in a rubbed over bezel.
