This is a nice example of a gold posy ring, dating to the 17th - 18th century. The ring is inscribed "Wee ioine our harts in god" (We joined our hearts in God) a sentiment recorded in Evans (106). It bears no makers marks, so is broadly dated from the mid 17th - 18th century. A nice ring that would have originally been worn as a wedding band, as such can be worn again today.
