This is an ancient Hellenistic gold finger ring, dating to the 3rd - 1st century BC. The solid gold ring is set with a silver head of Alexander-Ammon-Zeus, Alexander the Great as a god depicted with horns indicating his divinity. Such a ring would have been worn by a devotee of Alexander, or gifted as a form of patronage. The ring is intact and portrait still securely set, with only slight wear to the horns.
