Obverse inscription: EDWARD DEI GRA REX AnGL (Edward by the Grace of God, King of England)
Obverse description: quartered shield of arms within double tressure of eight arcs, double saltire stops, legend surrounds.
Reverse inscription: EXALTABITVR In GLORIA ( He shall be exalted in glory)
Reverse description: Lis in central compartment of ornate cross with lis terminals, lion over trefoil in each angle, all within beaded and linear tressure of eight arcs, Latin legend and beaded border surrounding, initial mark cross pattée.
