This is an ancient Roman AE orichalcum Sestertius, of Emperor Hadrian, minted in Rome between 121 - 122 AD
Obverse: IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, "Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Trajan Hadrian, emperor (Augustus)" laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right
Reverse: P M TR P COS III S-C, "High priest, holder of tribunician power, consul for the third time. Decree of the senate" Minerva standing left, wearing crested helmet, sprinkling incense onto candelabrum to left and holding spear, to right rests a shield decorated with climbing serpent
A superb coin with a nice chocolate brown patina, good hoard metal.
