This is a wonderful medieval silver reliquary ring, dating to the 12th - 13th century AD. The ring is decorated with an inverse pyramid/box-shaped bezel, set with a rock crystal gem. The shoulders are decorated with granulation clusters, with a simple band. It is a nice looking piece, in good excavated condition, and perfectly wearable today! Such a ring would have been worn by a pilgrim or member of the ecclesiastical community and would have once been set with a holy relic.
