This is a nice Renaissance silver clothing hook fastener, dating to the 16th century. It is of small size, originally sewn onto delicate silks or child's clothing. These were used as buttons to hook together or to close up garments. It is decorated with a floral spray, with the loop for receiving a hook on the twin fastener. An interesting piece for a collector that can be worn today as a pendant.
