This is an ancient Roman silver denarius, of empress Faustina II, minted at Rome in 149 AD
Obverse: FAVSTINAE AVG PII AVG FIL, "To Faustina [the Younger] the venerable, daughter of the emperor (Augustus) [Antoninus] Pius." Draped bust right, hair waved and coiled at the back of the head.
Reverse: PVDICITIA, "Purity" Pudicitia standing left, tugging at her toga
