Tudor / Renaissance silver and rock crystal finger ring

This is a nice Renaissance silver finger ring, dating to the 16th century. It is set with a table-cut rock crystal gemstone in a rubbed overmount. The bezel has a decorated quatrefoil bezel with traces of gold gilding. A nice example in excavated condition.
