A wonderful Georgian silver loving cup by John Langlands 1st and John Robertson 1st hallmarked for Newcastle 1788. It is in super condition with only very light surface scratches and one very tiny dent to the central area of the left-hand handle – see pictures. This cup carries just under 1 pint but would safely hold 3/4 of a pint. There is an engraved crest of the Watson family, of a griffin’s head gorged with a crown. motto "Mea gloria fides" (Fidelity is my glory).
