This is a nice pair of Queen Anne (Britannia) silver trencher salt cellars, hallmarks very rubbed but attributed to the early 1700's. They are octagonal in form with deep troughs for holding the salt and bear marks to the underside. Both are engraved with marriage initials C over IR.
