Renaissance silver box reliquary pendant or girdle book

This is a nice Renaissance silver box reliquary pendant/ possibly for a girdle book, dating to the 16th century. It is decorated with IHS (for Jesus) with the AM monogram for "Ave Maria". The box lid opens to reveal a compartment for a relic or a small prayer book. The box is intact but worn through centuries of devotional use.
