This is an ancient Roman AE Dupondius, of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, minted at Rome in 177 AD
Obverse: M ANTONINVS AVG GERM SARM TR P XXXI, "Marcus [Aurelius] Antoninus emperor (Augustus), the conqueror of the Germans, conqueror of the Sarmatians, holder of tribunician power for the 31st time" Head of Marcus Aurelius, radiate, right.
Reverse: IMP VIIII COS III P P, "Supreme commander (Imperator) for the ninth time, consul for the third time. Father of the nation, by Decree of the Senate" Thunderbolt
It is an attractive coin with good detail and a nice light green patina.
