Tudor / Renaissance silver-gilt table-cut ruby paste finger ring

This is a nice Renaissance silver-gilt finger ring, dating to the 16th century. It is set with a table-cut ruby paste gemstone, enclosed within a rubbed-over bezel. The gem is original to the ring and is stable and secure. A good Tudor period ring that is secure, wearable, and in good antique condition.
