This is a Tudor silver Half Groat (2 pence) of King Henry VII, minted in Canterbury between 1495 - 1498 AD.
Obverse inscription: hEnRIC DI' GRA REX AnGL Z F, ( "Henry, by the Grace of God, King of England and France") Crowned facing bust, mintmark 'Tun'.
Reverse inscription: POSVI DEV' A DIVTO E mEV ("I have made God my helper") CIVI TAS CAn TOR on the inner circle "City of Canterbury" long cross Pattee, tri-pellets in each inner angle, beaded circles and twin concentric legend surrounding
