Charles I Silver Seal Top Spoon, London. Richard Crosse

SOLD

Code: 12305

This is a good example of a Charles I period silver seal top. It has a fig-shaped bowl and hexagonal stem which terminates in a baluster seal top, beautifully chased and palely gilded. The bowl is very well marked with the Leopard's Head Crowned and the back bears the makers mark of Richard Crosse, who used this mark from 1639 - 1642. A nice spoon for the collector.
